Privacy Policy — Documents Scanner and PDF Tool
Last updated: [19-7-2026]This Privacy Policy explains how Documents Scanner and PDF Tool ("Documents Scanner and PDF Tool", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app.
1. Data We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data, documents, scans, or images to our own servers. The App works entirely on-device:
- Scanned documents & PDFs are saved only in the app's private storage on your device (Android/data/<package>/files/). They are never uploaded anywhere by the App.
- QR code & barcode scanning is performed on-device using Google's Code Scanner (part of Google Play services). The content of any code you scan or generate is not sent to us — it is only decoded/encoded locally on your device.
- Scan & QR history (a list of codes you've scanned or generated, and their text content) is stored locally on your device only, using Android's standard app storage. It is never uploaded anywhere and is deleted if you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
- Text extraction (OCR) runs fully on-device using Google's ML Kit — no image or text is sent to any server for this feature.
- No account, sign-in, or personal profile information is collected, because the App has no login system.
2. Permissions We Use
Permission Camera,Internet
Why--To let you scan documents and QR/barcodes. Only used when you tap "Scan".
Required by Google's ML Kit and AdMob SDKs (see below) — the App itself does not use the internet to send your documents anywhere.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party SDKs, which may collect data under their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob — shows ads in the app. AdMob may collect device/ad identifiers to serve and measure ads. See Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google ML Kit (PDF Master, Text Recognition) — Google Play services components used entirely on-device for scanning/OCR.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
All scanned documents remain on your device until you delete them yourself (via the "My Documents" tab or by uninstalling the App). We have no access to this data and cannot delete it remotely, because we never receive it.
5. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect data from children, and is not directed at children, as it collects no personal data at all.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
